VCC Grant Scheme extended two years as the Extended VCCGS

What changed?

The VCC Grant Scheme, due to lapse on 15 January 2023, was extended for a further two years to 15 January 2025. Under the Extended VCCGS, the Financial Sector Development Fund co-funded 30% of qualifying Singapore-based setup expenses, capped at SGD 30,000 per application — down from the original 70% and SGD 150,000, and limited to first-time qualifying fund managers.

Why it matters for fund managers

The reduced terms signalled that MAS viewed the VCC as established enough to need less subsidy, while still lowering the barrier for first-time adopters. The extension window has since closed: the scheme expired on 15 January 2025 with no successor announced.
